Olivia, it's hard to believe that you've been here an entire month, but at the same time I feel like you've been here forever. I can't even remember being pregnant or not having you in my life and it just keeps getting better! It's so crazy how fast you're growing and even though it makes me sad sometimes, it's still so fun and exciting to see what new thing you're doing for the day. (Yes, I said day)
You're so sweet when you sleep and as tired as Mommy might be sometimes, I can't help but just stare at you. You're so beautiful. It can be funny sometimes too; like last week when you started tootin, and then smiled and laughed. It might have just been gas smiles but it was pretty funny! My favorite is when you're just so tired that no other sleeping place will do but Mama's shoulder. As frustrating as it can be sometimes when I have things to do, nothing is more important or fun than cuddling with my Baby.
You're SO alert and curious. You look at and listen to everything! You love Grandpa's voice, the lullaby pillow Daddy got you, music in the car, and your rattle. You love watching Mama's face (of course), lights, and the TV. You love it when we walk around with you so you can look at all the different things.
And you're LOVING playtime! Every morning you love to lay on the floor and play with Mommy. You try to talk to me and wiggle around, you play with your rattle, and you follow objects that I move in front of you. You're so good at tummy time too! You can lift up your head like it's nothing and sometimes you'll lift up an entire half of your body like you're already about to roll over.
And then there are the faces. I LOVE all the looks you give out. I know you don't know expressions yet, but I still can't help but think you're totally annoyed with me whenever you throw this one out. I just love it so much! And I love YOU so much!!
Love, Mommy

Olivia's first picnic!
Our family has decided that since everyone is so busy with their own lives during the week(I work and had Olivia, Brittanee is working, going to school, and taking care of Graciee, and Shaylee is going to school) that we would start having a family dinner every Sunday. It was over 70 degrees and sunny yesterday so we decided to go to the Riverfront park for a BBQ!
I've lived here for a year, which means Sophia (pictured below) has been around me for a year. She'll give me loves when she leaves a get together but only because Shaylee or Brittanee will tell her to, but she never is the first to run up to me and say hi. Yesterday when she saw Olivia and I, she got so excited and yelled Baby Olivia! Haha. It's funny how much kids love you when you have a Baby.
Uncle Anthony has been so busy with work that he hasn't really had a chance to see Olivia, so it was fun that he got to hold her and spend some time with her yesterday. (Until she spit up all over him :))
And then the sisters :) It was so nice to spend some real time together. We've all been so busy lately with our own lives and when we get together we all still have a million things on our minds, but yesterday we were all able to just enjoy each others company and have a good time. I loved it!
Poor Livvy had a belly ache, and it didn't help that I made her wake up when we got to the park so everyone could say hi. She was NOT a fan of the bright sun while she was trying to sleep so I was trying to shield her with the blanket (it didn't work).
After we were all finished eating and visiting we decided to go for a ride on the carousal that they have at the park. I don't think that we've ever gone as a family and it was SO much more fun! My Dad was SO excited to go with the Grandkids.
This Carousal is SO fast! I was nervous about how Olivia would react, it was making me dizzy just watching it from the outside and with her tummy hurting like it was I felt like the worst Mom ever for even trying, but my Dad had already bought the tokens so we gave it a try. She was pretty funny! She loved the lights that were over us, but when it started moving you could tell she was like 'What is going on?!'. Her little head just kept spinning like she was dizzy. As bad as I felt, I couldn't help but laugh because it was so funny to watch.
It was such a fun day! Everyone got along and I really missed my family. It was a great way to kick off the Summer!
